New Acting Principal

The Polk County School Board and George Jenkins High School are pleased to announce Mr. Tom Patton as the new Acting Principal. Tom Patton is in his 21st year in Education, and 18th in Polk County. He started his career as an English and TV Production teacher at Riverdale High School in Ft. Myers. He moved to Lakeland in 2000, where he became an English Teacher, then Dean of Students at George Jenkins and was the long time Baseball Coach. He then moved into administration and became the Assistant Principal of Administration at Lake Alfred Addair for a year and half. From there, he became the Assistant Principal of Administration at Southwest Middle School where he served for 4 years. Most recently, Mr. Patton has served as an Assistant Principal of Administration and Curriculum at GJHS. Congratulations Mr. Patton!
